The Senior Enrichment Centers, sponsored by the Golden Triangle Area Agency on Aging (GTAAA), provide safe, age-friendly environments where retirees and seniors can gather for recreation, social engagement, and lifelong learning. Operating to keep seniors active and connected, the centers offer:
Socialization & Leisure Activities: Access to table games, jigsaw puzzles, shared hobbies, and regular social gatherings designed to foster new friendships and boost overall well-being.
Specialized Group Programs: Dedicated morning sessions reserved for retiree groups and specialized craft workshops, such as the weekly "Stitching with Marie" sessions.
Connection to Aging Resources: Direct links to GTPDD's broader senior safety-net services, including home-delivered meals, insurance counseling, legal referrals, and in-home care support.
