About
The Mississippi Division of Early Childhood Care and Development (DECCD) administers the Child Care Payment Program (CCPP) to provide subsidized child care assistance to low-income working parents, helping them gain employment while preparing children for school success.
Through the CCPP program, they specifically offer:
Monthly Tuition Vouchers: Subsidies paid directly to approved child care providers to cover or lower child care costs for eligible parents.
Flexible Provider Selection: The freedom for parents to choose any approved licensed center or home-based child care provider.
Priority Application Slots: Targeted assistance for high-need groups, including foster children, teen parents, military families, and TANF recipients.
Provider Network Support: Management and funding for state-approved child care businesses to maintain high quality and health standards.

Who is eligible
To qualify for CCPP, parents must live in Mississippi and work or attend school at least 25 hours per week. Households must meet state low-income limits (at or below 85% of the State Median Income), and children needing care must be under age 13 or under 19 with special needs. Applicants must also provide proof of income, residency, and identification.
